Ms. Kelli Campbell has been named the new principal of Fairmount Elementary School. Ms. Campbell will replace Principal Kyle Evans, who is set to retire June 30.

Ms. Campbell has been principal at Mount Carmel Elementary School in Hawkins County since 2014. Under her leadership, the school has made significant academic improvements and was designated a 2017 Reward School. Prior to that, she served as a regional consultant for intervention with the TDOE’s First TN CORE Office. Additionally, she has served as a teacher, Lindamood-Bell reading interventionist, and testing coordinator for Johnson City Schools. Ms. Campbell has a passion for serving students and for helping all students be successful.

“We were blessed to have many high quality candidates apply for the opening, which made the decision an extremely difficult one. Kelli has a proven track record in academic leadership and most of all a passion for serving students and for helping all students be successful. I want to welcome her to the Bristol Tennessee City Schools and to the Fairmount Elementary School family.”

Ms. Campbell holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis and a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-6), both from East Tennessee State University. She has been married to her husband Kenneth for 13 years. They have two children, Logan and Natalie. Ms. Campbell officially begins at Fairmount on June 1.
