Bio

Mrs. Humphrey:

I am the sixth grade English/Language Arts teacher here at Fairmount.  Every day that I walk into my school, I feel like I am with my second family!  I love teaching, it's my passion.  I previously taught fourth grade before moving to sixth grade.  I love to reflect on my teaching, and I am committed to a life of learning.

I have been married for nine years to my husband, Jeremy.  We have two beautiful daughters, Kinsley and Klairey.  They both keep me very busy!  I love to teach, scrapbook, craft, read, watch movies, spend time with my family, and most of all I love to laugh!  I am excited to see how far each of my students grow over the course of this year.  That's my favorite part of teaching!  Here's to a happy, safe, and exciting year!

Mrs. Phillips:

Welcome back to school! My name is Mrs. Phillips, and I wish you the warmest welcome into our 6th grade classroom. I hope your summer has been full of fun and family time. My summer has been very fun. Mr. Phillips and I are really enjoying camping with our dog Jagger! When we camp, we like to swim, ride bikes, fish, go on walks, talk to our camping neighbors, grill out, and make s'mores by the campfire!

This is my fifth school year at Fairmount. I love our school! Go Red Hawks! As an educator, it is my job to guide and encourage each student individually to discover how he or she learns best. In our classroom, we will create, work hands-on, problem solve, work as a team, be challenged, respect each other, and have fun while we learn! We are truly going to have a wonderful year in sixth grade as we prepare for middle school!
